What is design?

Many people understand the word design as the stylistic/aesthetic shaping of an object that happens afterwards.

But for me, there is much more behind the word design! For me, good design begins where there is not yet a defined object that can be designed. It begins where the human being first comes into contact with the possible object and the possible functions. What is the first impression of the object, what is it for, how can one interact with it, are the functionalities presented logically and recognizably, what added value does it offer?

Only when all these basics have been conceptually and holistically elaborated, the stylistic elaboration of the object based on the customer requirements and the user experience can begin.

The world is becoming more and more global, which means there are more and more competitors. Developments are advancing faster and customers have an increasing range of options to choose from.

For this reason, it is important for companies today to have a clear and meaningful design DNA. From cooperate design to the design of products, everything should be designed in such a way that it can be clearly identified with the brand. This creates a consistent brand image, which generates recognition among customers

The combination of cooperate design and holistically designed products based on the brand DNA can create a strong emotional customer connection (also with new customers) which offers a clear competitive advantage.
